Chris Zera

Vice President

Chris is Vice President of Zera Construction and has over 25 years of experience in concrete restoration.

Chris started out working summers as a laborer and driving trucks. After graduating from Wittenburg University with a B.A. in Communication, Chris managed commercial and institutional projects with Zera for over 10 years.

As Vice President and Estimator for Zera, Chris now prepares estimates for projects ranging from $30,000 to $10 million in size. Projects include parking garages, plazas, stadiums, historical landmarks, vaulted sidewalks, and façade repair. Chris specializes in determining cost-effective ways of doing things, even when encountering difficult challenges for the first time, thanks to his depth of experience and thorough attention to detail. This is what ensures the Class A work of Zera Construction.

What excites Chris the most about his experience at Zera Construction is the guys on the job because of their loyalty, family orientation, ability to take ownership of their work, and their flexible problem-solving skills. Chris’s favorite project is the University of St. Mary’s of the Lake, because of its unique complexity, requiring him to collaborate with the structural engineering firm and general contractor in order to find the most effective ways to get the work done. St. Mary’s is like five projects in one, including its boathouse, piers, viaduct, belvederes, and stamped walking surfaces.
